I am reaching out to you today on behalf of IsarMUN, Germany’s second-largest Model United Nations conference, taking place this fall from November 14th-15th.
This event is usually held annually in a physical format in Munich, Germany with around 300 participants from a variety of universities across the world. However, due to COVID-19, we have decided to move the conference online and come up with an entirely different format. After much thought, we have chosen to host a think tank: IsarMUN x UN75.
We will invite young and forward-looking individuals to join us in discussion rounds about political challenges that threaten the livelihood of nations today. These discussion rounds will be held in 7 different committees: EU-China Summit, Committee of Science and Technology, UNHCR, UNFCCC, WHO, NATO, and World Bank.
For each and every committee we have managed to invite a prominent representative of the council or a related field for a Q&A session on Saturday. We will be joined by guest speakers from the UNFCCC, UNHCR, World Bank, NATO and many more.
This way we combine professional expertise and youth enthusiasm to tackle the most pressing challenges of the international community including emergency response ability during pandemics, climate change and inclusion of refugees through education.
We would cordially invite you to join our event! Since you have direct channels to a large student base, we were wondering whether you could send out the attached email and the banner at the beginning of this email to your students.
We would be more than grateful for your support! Let us together make young voices heard!
Feel free to reach out to us in case of questions!
